Empowering Futures
Mentoring Valuable People
I am a dedicated consultant and advocate committed to bridging the gap between complex service systems and meaningful independence. My mission is to empower individuals with developmental disabilities and their families with the tools and advocacy needed to build self-determined, inclusive lives.

My Journey
My career began with a simple observation: the individuals who needed the most support were often the ones whose voices were least heard. Over fifteen years ago, I started as a direct care provider, witnessing firsthand the obstacles families face when navigating developmental disability services. This experience lit a fire in me to become more than just a provider—I wanted to be a navigator and a shield.
Through years of academic study and practical experience in independent facilitation, I evolved into an advocate. I spent a decade working closely with state agencies and community programs, decoding the systems to ensure they served the people, not the other way around. My path has always been driven by the stories of the individuals I serve—their triumphs, their challenges, and their inherent value.
Today, Mentoring Valuable People is the culmination of that journey. It is a space built on empathy and expertise, dedicated to turning complex paths into clear roadmaps. Every day, I am privileged to walk alongside families, helping them secure the resources and respect necessary to live full, self-determined lives.
Our Philosophy
Empowerment
Radical Inclusion
We believe independence isn't just a goal, but a fundamental right. Every individual deserves the tools and support to navigate their own path with confidence and dignity.
Self-Direction
True Autonomy
Support networks are most effective when they follow the lead of the person they serve. We advocate for a system where choice is the primary driver of all meaningful adult services.
Advocacy
Active Voices
We tirelessly promote equitable access and systemic change, ensuring that every person with a developmental disability is seen as a valuable contributor to their community.
